克里夫登酒店 (Cliffden Hotel)

The hotel is dated. The service is terrible our room.has not been cleaned for 2 days even after complaining. We eat once in the evening, the steak was so tough we couldn't eat it, came with tinned button mushrooms, spoon of mixed green veg which must have been frozen. At breakfast we waited 20 minutes for 2 poaches eggs the rest of the breakfast was cold before they came. Some dates they ran out of fresh fruit. Coffee machine one morning was broken. There was a lack of experienced staff to help with issues, didn't seem interested.

Third time we have stayed here in the last month. Great staff, very helpful. Super location and gardens. Unfortunately ourselves and some others had to wait until after 4pm for our rooms to be ready. When you are there for just one night it's a bit deflating to be told they are very busy. Management know how many rooms they have and should have resources to fulfill housekeeping in more than good time. However we loved our stay as ever.

29/04/2025. We have been to the cliffden hotel three times and had a club room on the first floor they were nice large rooms but this time we were on the second floor our room was very small and claustrophobic nothing like the photos in the booking . We asked for a different room and the man at reception said see me tomorrow morning and if there's a larger room you can have it. Later on in the day my partner went to reception to book a table for an evening meal for us. While she was booking the table the lady at the reception said there were no other rooms you can have. The barman was very polite nice to chat to. We only had one meal in the evening cod and chips could not find much cod it was all batter. Other meal gammon and chips gammon would be good to repair your soles on your shoes. Go to the local chip shop absolutely beautiful. We used the indoor swimming pool which was nice and clean. The gardens are lovely, and the beer is very expensive. Go to the jolly sailor pub with drinks at good prices. Reception is not very helpful. I can't understand why the hotel puts people with dogs on the second floor because when the dog wants to go to the toilet by the time you get down to the entrance the dog has already peed on the carpets. Luckily our dog can hold her pee and she is small enough to carry.I have followed other people with their dogs and seen it. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay this time.

This hotel is great, I do stay regularly due to the location, gardens and parking. Also had 3 course dinner this time rather than just breakfast and it was delicious.

Traditional hotel. Nice entrance to road next to sea via private gardens and gate. Good swimming pool. Breakfast was fairly basic but adequate . Nice views

Friendly well located hotel good value for the money. The breakfast buffet was good and rooms were tidy.
